Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user’s device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same websites on subsequent visits. Similar technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels, fingerprinting) are subject to the same rules.
2. Legal framework
This Cookie Policy is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (the “Italian Personal Data Protection Code”), Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the “Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools” issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021 (decision no. 231/2021).
3. Cookies used by this website
The website www.domenicomartinelli.it (the “Website”) does not use profiling cookies or third-party cookies, and does not embed third-party content (e.g. videos, maps, fonts or social buttons loaded from external servers) that could set cookies or track browsing.
Simply viewing the public pages and submitting the contact form does not result in any cookies being stored on your device. The Website may only use strictly necessary technical cookies, set by the WordPress platform and its security components exclusively when the restricted administration area is accessed:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that the browser accepts cookies when logging into the restricted area | Session |
| wordpress_[hash], wordpress_sec_[hash] | Authentication of users authorised to access the restricted area | Session or 14 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Maintains the authenticated session | Session or 14 days |
| wp-settings-[ID], wp-settings-time-[ID] | Administration interface preferences | 1 year |
As these are technical cookies strictly necessary to provide the service, under Article 122(1) of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code their use does not require the user’s consent. For this reason, the Website does not display a consent banner.
3a. Cookieless usage statistics
To understand, anonymously and in aggregate form, how the Website is used, the Controller uses the Burst Statistics tool, installed on the Website’s own server and configured in “cookieless” mode: no information is stored on or read from your device (no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting techniques). The IP address is used only transiently to generate an anonymous code that changes every day and is not stored; the data are processed exclusively in aggregate form, are not combined with other information and are not disclosed to third parties. The tool honours any “Do Not Track” signal set in your browser. Given these characteristics, and in accordance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines, this processing does not require your consent.
4. Managing cookies through your browser
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Disabling technical cookies does not prevent you from viewing the public pages of the Website.
5. Data Controller and your rights
The data controller is Domenico Martinelli, who can be contacted at domenico.martinelli@protonmail.com. For any information on the processing of personal data and on how to exercise your rights under Articles 15–22 GDPR, please see the Privacy Policy.
6. Updates
Should the Website use cookies other than technical cookies in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated and, where required, your prior consent will be requested through a dedicated banner.
This policy is a translation of the Italian original. In the event of any discrepancy, the Italian version shall prevail.
